About Gabriel Jaramillo

Gabriel Jaramillo, a proud 51-year-old resident of San Bernardino, is deeply rooted in the city where he was born. Born in June 1972 at the San Bernardino Community Hospital on the Westside, Gabriel is the son of Mary Helen Marquez and Larry Louis Jaramillo. His strong connection to his hometown and family heritage influences his passion for making a difference in San Bernardino's West and East sides.

Gabriel Jaramillo's educational journey is characterized by a strong commitment to learning and growth. Starting from Alessandro Elementary and progressing through Golden Valley, Shandin Hills, San Gorgonio, and San Bernardino High School, he laid a solid foundation. His academic pursuits led him to San Bernardino Valley College, where he obtained an Associates of Science degree in Business. Further enriching his knowledge, Gabriel obtained two Bachelor's Degrees from California State University-San Bernardino in Human Resources Management and Supply Chain Management-Logistics and Transportation, showcasing his dedication to excellence in varied fields.

Gabriel Jaramillo's dedication to his community shines through his decision to run for San Bernardino City Council's Ward 1. Witnessing the decline on both the Westside and Eastside of Ward 1, he is determined to bring about positive change and better representation. With a focus on Economic Development, Community Revitalization, Youth Programs, Park Management and Maintenance, Homeless Encampment, and Safety.  Gabriel expresses a deep-rooted passion for the well-being of his fellow residents. His personal connection to Ward 1, having been born and raised there, underscores his commitment to addressing the specific issues facing this area and ensuring that all residents receive equal attention and care.

Omnitrans - Coach Operator - Public Service - Amalgamated Transit Union 1704 Member

What's something people don't know about their daily bus ride? It's powered by dedication, passion, and Gabriel Jaramillo! On June 14, 2022, Gabriel started his journey with Omnitrans as a coach operator. After just four weeks of intense training, he hit the road, ensuring thousands of passengers reach their destinations safely and on time. Gabriel's commitment goes beyond the driver's seat. He's now a key member of the Amalgamated Transit Union, Local 1704. As a union recorder, he plays a crucial role in the ongoing negotiations, advocating for his fellow operators and improving transit services for everyone. From navigating busy streets to navigating union meetings, Gabriel embodies dedication and public service. He's not just driving buses; he's driving positive change in his community. So next time you hop on an Omnitrans bus, remember- behind every smooth ride is someone like Gabriel, working tirelessly to keep our city moving forward. Gabriel Jaramillo, Omnitrans Coach Operator & Union Recorder – proving that with passion and dedication, we can all make a difference.

Our focus is on Community Revitalization, Economic Development, Youth Programs, Homeless Encampments, Park Management and Maintenance, and public safety.

Services

Our community advocacy efforts involve attending events and staying informed about city council meetings. We plan to collaborate with local businesses and organizations to create new job opportunities for economic development. Addressing public safety concerns is a top priority, and we are committed to working with law enforcement agencies and community leaders.

Youth Programs

In addition to our core beliefs in our youth, we are dedicated to creating more programs for the youth of San Bernardino, providing them with opportunities for growth and success.
